W.P.(C) No.3116/2011
By way of this writ petition the petitioner seeks prayer that the respondent no.2 i.e the Commissioner of Transport, Transport Department, Government of NCT be directed to issue an authorization in favour of the petitioner for conducting preliminary driving licence test for issuing learning licences. His contention is that he has all the requisite requirements for running training school for driving. His further contention is that his application seeking aforenoted authorization was first made on 12.12.2007 and reminder was sent on 12,7.2010. He had received no answer. The RTI preferred by him had been answered on 16.3.2011 wherein it has been informed me that one party namely DSIR has been granted permission for computerized test for learning licence under Rule 11(2)(d); further querries had revealed that the case of the petitioner i.e. Raman Motor Driving Training Scholl is yet pending. Grievance of the petitioner is that there has been an inordinate delay on the part of the department in
processing his application.
On advance notice counsel for the respondent has appeared. Copy of the documents has been furnished to him.
The respondent shall dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 12.12.2007 in accordance with law within an outer limit of four weeks from today.
Writ petition is disposed of.
Copy of this order be given dasti to both the parties under signature of Court Master.
