Petitioners are living in the same locality. They are known to each other since their childhood. On the eve of Deepawali quarrel took place between the petitioners on the issue of bursting of crackers. Petitioner nos. 1 to 6 joined hand with each other and assaulted petitioner nos. 7 to 10. In the quarrel injuries were sustained by petitioner no. 7 to 10. On the complaint of respondent no. 7, FIR in question was registered against petitioner nos. 1 to 6 under Section 307 34 IPC at Police Station Defence Colony. Now, with the intervention of their common friends petitioners have settled their disputes amicably. Terms of settlement have been recorded in Memorandum of Understanding dated 7th March, 2011 which is annexed as Annexure (from pages 32 to 34). Petitioners have arrived at settlement in order to maintain harmonious relations with each other, in future. Petitioner nos. 7 to 10, who are present in the Court, have no objection in case present FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioners were friends and quarrel took place between them on some trivial matter, in the larger interest, FIR No.

615 I 2005 under Section 307 I 34 IPC registered at Police Station Defence Colony and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to petitioner nos. 1 to 6 depositing I- each with the Advocates' Welfare Fund within one week. Thereafter, receipt be filed in the

Registry.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of the order be given
