HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R R%23.08.2016
Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 were married on 30[th]November,
2012 according to the Hindu rites and ceremonies. They could hardly livetogether for about four months. On the complaint of respondent no. 2,present FIR No. 25/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC was registered atPolice Station Aman Vihar against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, thatis, petitioner nos. 2 to 7.On 28[th]September, 2015 petitioner no. 1 andrespondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the MediationCentre, Rohini. Their marriage has been dissolved by decree of divorce by
mutual consent on 4[th]June, 2016 passed by the Family Court, Rohini.Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI ManishaSharma, P.S. Aman Vihar. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has receivedthe entire settled amount from the petitioner no. 1 and she has no objectionin case FIR in question is quashed.
Keeping in mind the fact that parties have settled their disputes
amicably, inasmuch as petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have partedways, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminalproceedings pending. In the interest of justice, FIR No. 25/2015 underSections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Aman Vihar and the
consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
