This is petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIRNo.1107/2014, under Sections 420/468/471/120B IPC, registered at PoliceStation Janak Puri and all the proceedings emanating therefrom.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners and therespondent No.2 belong to the same family. He further submits thatmisunderstanding had arisen between the parties, which resulted intoregistration of the said FIR. He further submits that after the registration ofthe said FIR, the near relatives and close friends intervened and the matterhas been amicably settled between the parties and the same has beenreduced into writing vide Settlement dated 10.04.2017. He further submits

that both the parties have acted upon the settlement and withdrawn the civilsuits against each other. He also submits that nothing remains to beadjudicated upon further between the parties and that the FIR in question iscoming as hurdle in the way of the present petitioners. He further submitsthat since all disputes have been settled between them, the FIR in questionand all proceedings arising therefrom may be quashed.

The respondent No.2/complainant is present in Court today and hasbeen identified by the Investigating Officer, A.S.I Jhabar Mal. Thecomplainant also admits that the matter has been amicably settled with thepetitioners. He further submits that the settlement/compromise has takenplace voluntarily, without any force, pressure or coercion. He also submitsthat he has no objection, if the FIR in question is quashed.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the factthat the present dispute pertains to the family dispute and the same has beenamicably settled between the parties and to have peace in the life of theparties, I deem it appropriate to quash the FIR in question. Consequently, theFIR No.1107/2014, under Sections 420/468/471/120B IPC, registered atPolice Station Janak Puri and all proceedings emanating therefrom arehereby quashed.

The present petition and the accompanying application are disposedof accordingly.
