Respondent no. 2 Ms. Riyaz Fatima is present in Court along withher counsel and has been identified by ASI Krishan Pal of police stationSeelampur. Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with thepetitioner no. 1, relating to the FIR in question, of her own free will,voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Petitionerno. 1 has paid `1,00,000/- to the respondent no. 2 today in Court.Respondent no. 2 submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR anyfurther against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2and 3 and the same may be quashed.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners andrespondent no. 2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No.485/1995under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Seelampur andthe consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.Dasti.
