It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their
disputes amicably before the Delhi High Court Mediation and ConciliationCentre on 14[th]December, 2016 vide Settlement Agreement (Annexure P-3).It is prayed that FIR No. 224/2016 under Sections 380/385/506(ii)/120-BIPC registered at Police Station North Rohini be quashed. Respondent no. 2is present in Court along with his counsel and submits that he has settled thematter with the petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force,coercion and pressure. He further submits that terms of the settlement havealready been complied with and he has already received the entire settledamount.He further submits that he is not willing to pursue the FIR anyfurther.
In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioners andrespondent no. 2 before the Mediation Centre voluntarily, no fruitfulpurpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 224/2016 under Sections380/385/506(ii)/120-B IPC registered at Police Station North Rohini and theconsequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.Dasti.
