It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their
disputes amicably; therefore, FIR No. 531/2014 under Sections 354/323/506IPC registered at Police Station South Rohini may be quashed. Petitionerno. 2, namely, Prince Jamwal, is brother-in-law (jija) of the respondent no.2. It is submitted that sister of the respondent no. 2 had also lodged an FIR
under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC, wherein petitioner no. 2 and sister of therespondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the CounsellingCell, Family Court (North – West), Rohini, Delhi. In order to put quietusto all the disputes, respondent no. 2 has also settled the disputes with thepetitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure orcoercion and is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. Respondent no. 2is present in Court alongwith her counsel and has been identified by theInvestigating Officer. She says that she has no objection if FIR is quashed.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as narrated above, moreparticularly the fact that settlement has been arrived at between thepetitioners and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 531/2014under Sections 354/323/506 IPC registered at Police Station South Rohiniand the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
