CORAM:HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R R%14.11.2017

Respondent no. 2 (wife) and petitioner no. 1 (husband) are present inCourt and have been identified by ASI Ombir Singh of Police Station Dabri.

Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure orcoercion. It is submitted that after resolving their differences, petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 have started living together since 1[st]January, 2015.She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against thepetitioner no. 1 and his relative, that is, petitioner no. 2 and the same may bequashed.

Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living togetherafter resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would beserved to keep the criminal proceedings pending.Accordingly, in theinterest of justice FIR No.541/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/506/34 IPCregistered at Police Station Dabri and the consequent proceedings emanatingtherefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
