Notice.Learned APPaccepts noticeforrespondent no. 1.Respondent no. 2 Ms. Pratibha Gupta is present in Court and accepts notice.Respondent no. 2 has been identified by ASI Sanjeev Khokhar of PoliceStation Dabri.Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter withpetitioner no. 1 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undueforce, pressure or coercion, vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 3[rd]January, 2018.Respondent no. 2 submits that her marriage with thepetitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual
consent dated 9[th]March, 2018 passed by the Family Courts, Dwarka Courts,New Delhi. Respondent no. 2 says that she has no objection in case presentFIR is quashed against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is,petitioner nos. 2 to 6.
Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances as detailed above, moreparticularly, the fact that marriage of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, in theinterest of justice, FIR No.211/2017 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPCregistered at Police Station Dabri and the consequent proceedings emanatingtherefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applicationis disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
