Respondent no. 2 Ms. Jyoti Yadav is present along with her counseland has been identified by SI Surender of Police Station Begumpur.Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitionerno. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion,before the Mediation Centre. Rohini Courts, Delhi on 19[th]May, 2017.Respondent no. 2 says that her marriage with petitioner no. 1 has alreadybeen dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent on 29[th]November,2017 passed by the Family Courts, North-West District, Rohini Courts,Delhi.Petitioner has paid `2,00,000/- to the respondent no. 2 towards the
balance settled amount, vide demand draft, photocopy whereof has beenplaced on record.Respondent no. 2 submits that entire settled amount of`6,00,000/- stands paid with this payment.Respondent no. 2 submits that
she has no objection in case FIR may be quashed.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and thatmarriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already beendissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminalproceedings pending.Accordingly, FIR No.1052/2014 under Sections498-A/406 IPC registered at Police Station Begumpur and the consequentproceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.Miscellaneous applicationis disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
