1.Present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of Indiahas been filed by the petitioners for quashing of FIR No.316/2016registered under Sections 498A/406/354/34 IPC at Police StationMansarovar Park. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicablywiththecomplainant/respondentNo.2videCompromisedeed/settlement agreement dated 27.05.2017.W.P.(CRL) 3587/2017Page 1 of 2

2.Complainant / respondent No.2 is present with counsel and hasbeen identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from thecomplainant if she has settled the dispute with the petitionersamicably without any fear or pressure. She has informed that all thedisputes between the parties have been resolved amicably with herfree consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR inquestion. Marriage between the parties has been dissolved.

3.The petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Orderdated 27.05.2017 of Principal Judge, Family Court, KarkardoomaCourts, recording settlement between the parties is on record. Sincethe dispute between the parties has been settled, no useful purposewill be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest ofjustice and to enable the parties to settle in life after dissolution ofmarriage,FIRNo.316/2016registeredunderSections498A/406/354/34 IPC at Police Station Mansarovar Park and all theproceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

4.The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
