Respondent no. 2 Ms. Laxmi Devi is present in Court along with hercounsel and accepts notice.She has been identified by SI Manvendra ofpolice station Karawal Nagar.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter withpetitioner no. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressureor coercion before Counselling Cell, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi dated 5[th]April, 2018.Respondent no. 2 further submits that her marriage withpetitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutualconsent dated 17[th]May, 2018 passed by the Family Courts, North East

District, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. Respondent no. 2 says that she hasreceived the entire settled amount of `1,00,000/- and she has no objection incase FIR no. 401/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 ofthe Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at Police Station Karawal Nagaris quashed against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitionernos. 2 to 11.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners andrespondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would beserved to keep the criminal proceedings pending.Accordingly, in theinterest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanatingtherefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
