Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1.Respondent no.2-Rakhi is present in Court and accepts notice. She hasbeen identified by SI Devender of police station Dabri.
It is submitted that petitioner is elder brother-in-law ofrespondent no.2 and with the intervention of elders in the family,petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicablyvide Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated 4[th]December,2017.
Respondent no.2 admits that she has settled the matter with thepetitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressureor coercion in terms of MOU and that she has no objection in caseFIR No.1042/2015 under sections 451/354(A)/506 IPC registered atpolice station Dabri and the consequent proceedings are quashedagainst the petitioner.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitionerand respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purposewouldbeservedtokeepthecriminalproceedingspending.Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and theconsequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against thepetitioner.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
