Respondent no.2-Mr. Ved Nayar is present in Court and accepts notice. Hehas been identified by SI Ram Naresh of police station Amar Colony.
Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with thepetitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure orcoercion before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 19[th]January, 2017. Respondent no. 2 says that he has no objection in case FIRno. 560/2009 under Sections 341/453/34 IPC registered at police station
Amar Colony and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashedagainst the petitioners.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners andrespondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would beserved to keep the criminal proceedings pending.Accordingly, in theinterest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanatingtherefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applicationsare disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
