Notice. Mr. Vishal Ahuja, Power of Attorney of respondent no. 2 ispresent in Court along with counsel for respondent no. 2 and accepts notice.
It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled theirdisputes amicably, vide Settlement Deed dated 29[th]June, 2018; therefore,FIR no. 217/2003 under Sections 63/63-B of the Copyright Act, 1957registered at Police Station Lajpat Nagar may be quashed. Mr. Vishal Ahujaadmits that settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner andrespondent no. 2. He says that respondent no. 2 has no objection in case in
aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashedagainst the petitioner.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner andrespondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would beserved to keep the criminal proceedings pending.Accordingly, in theinterest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanatingtherefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
