Respondent nos.2 to 11 are present in Court and have beenidentified by ASI Prakash Vir of police station Madhu Vihar. It issubmitted that petitioners and respondent nos.2 to 11 are related toeach other. It is further submitted that with the intervention of eldersin the family, respondent no. 2 (complainant) and respondent nos. 3 to11 have settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free willand without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide SettlementAgreement dated 16[th]January, 2017 before Mediation Cell, CAW,Nanakpura, Delhi. Respondent nos. 2 to 11 say that they have noobjection in case FIR no. 371/2016 under Sections 308/34 IPCregistered at Police Station Madhu Vihar and consequent proceedingsemanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioners.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between thepetitioners and respondents voluntarily, in my view, no fruitfulpurpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequentproceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.Miscellaneousapplication is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
