Mr. Ashwani Katoch, respondent no.2 is present in the Courtand has been identified by SI Devender of police station Dabri.Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with thepetitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressureor coercion. He further submits that he has no objection in case FIRNo.712/2006 under sections 63/65/68(a) of Copy Right Act andsection 7 of Cinematography Act at police station Dabri is quashed.
It is noted that FIR has already been quashed against other 11co-accused in separate petitions filed time to time.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitionerand respondent no.2, voluntarily, I am of the view that no fruitfulpurpose would be served in keeping the present criminal proceedingspending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the
consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.Miscellaneousapplication is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
