This petition under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Arbitral Tribunal adjudicating the disputes that have arisen between the parties and had been referred to the Arbitral Tribunal by order dated 02.12.2016 passed by the National Green Tribunal in Original Application No.281/2016.
Learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, submits that without, in any manner admitting the allegations made in the petition, the respondent has no objection if the prayer is granted.
As the arbitration is at the stage of the final arguments, the time for making of the Arbitral Award is extended till 31.01.2019.
The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to cost. Dasti.
