Petitioners had got married to one another on 02.01.2018. They are of different castes and different religions. Petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 fear of coercive action qua the role of respondent Nos. 4 and 5. Respondent No. 4 is the father of the petitioner No. 1.
On advance notice, learned counsel for the state has put in appearance. Her submission is that the petitioners are not staying at the present address which has been mentioned in the petition that is why the necessary police protection has not been given to the petitioners. Petitioners are present in person. They submit that they are presently residing at the aforenoted address and earlier they had changed their address for temporary period because they feared
from respondent Nos. 4 and 5. The address of the petitioners as on date is the address mentioned in the petition. Learned additional standing counsel for the state informs this Court that the beat constable and the area SHO has been apprised of the situation and necessary police protection shall be afforded to the petitioners who should have no fear. The mobile numbers of the beat constable and SHO of PS Sultanpuri are given to the petitioners who may contact the said persons in case of any urgency/emergency and the learned counsel for the state assures this Court that adequate police protection shall be afforded to the petitioner on that account.
Petition disposed of in the above terms.
