1.The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying thatrespondent authorities be restrained from executing the extradition orderdated 22.08.2019.
2.Mr Rajiv Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the respondent pointsout that in accordance with the procedure, the extradition request wasreferredtotheAdditionalChiefMetropolitanMagistrateforhisrecommendation (Case No. 19546/2016). The matter was considered and byan order dated 17.12.2018, the learned ACMM had recommended that thepetitioner be extradited. The petitioner had, thereafter, challenged the saidorder by way of writ petition [W.P. (Crl.) 3964/2018]. The petitioner hadalso filed another writ petition [W.P. (Crl.) 468/2019] impugning the letter
dated 04.02.2019, issued by the Ministry of External Affairs communicatingtheir decision to extradite the petitioner to United Kingdom to face trial forvarious offences. Both the said writ petitions were dismissed by commonorder dated 15.07.2019.
3.This Court is also informed that Special Leave Petition waspreferred against the judgment dated 15.07.2019 and the same was alsorejected.
4.In view of the above, the petitioner’s challenge to the extradition hasrun its course. Thus, the relief sought by the petitioner cannot be granted.The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
