CORAM:HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAKO R R%09.01.2019

It is submitted that quarrel took place between the petitioner andrespondent no.2 wherein respondent no. 2 sustained simple injuries. Thisincident had led to registration of FIR No. 214/2016 under Section 307 IPCat police station Shalimar Bagh, on the complaint of respondent no.2. It isfurther submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have now settled theirdisputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 20.09.2018, therefore, aforesaid FIR may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and hasbeen identified by SI Bijender of police station Shalimar Bagh. He submitsthat he has settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will and withoutany undue force, pressure or coercion and has no objection in case the

aforesaid FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view that petitioner and respondent no.2 are neighboursand quarrel ensued between them on some trivial issue wherein respondentno.2 had sustained simple injuries and now that they have amicably settledtheir disputes in order to maintain harmonious relations, I am of the viewthat no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled incriminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIRand the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applicationis disposed of as infructuous.
