Vide the present bail application, the petitioner-accused seeks directions thereby to grant him interim bail for period of 15 days from 16.11.2019 to 30.11.2019 to attend the 14[th] day ritual of the death of his elder brother.
Notice issued.
Learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State and submits that he has verified the factum of 14[th] day ritual /function of the deceased brother of the petitioner. He however, submits that the said ritual is to be performed in Chhatisgarh and 18 kg ganja was recovered from the petitioner and therefore, the instant bail application may not be allowed.
It is not disputed that earlier also the petitioner had been granted interim bail for period of 7 day to attend the marriage of his niece. Accordingly, I hereby grant interim bail to the petitioner for period of 10 days from the date of his release.
The petitioner be released on bail on furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court, on 21.11.2019 till 30.11.2019. The petitioner shall surrender before the Trial Court on 01.12.2019 by 5:00 p.m.
The application stands disposed of accordingly.
