By the instant petition, the petitioner seeks parole to perform the ritual of ‘Asthi visarjan’ on the demise of his father on 30.04.2020. No application/ petition is said to have been made by the petitionerto the Competent Authorityand Mr. Singh, ld. Addl. Standing Counsel for the State comes forward to state that Committee headed by Director General (Prisons) has been constituted to look into the matters of emergent parole and such Committee is meeting weekly and that the instant petition can be treated to be representation of the applicant to be decided on its merits in the forthcoming meeting of this

Competent Authority. Mr. Khanna, ld. Counsel for the petitioner comes forward to joinfor the purpose.

In view of the submissions made, instant petition is disposed of with the direction to the Competent Authority to treat the instant petition as the representation of the petitioner and disposed of the same on its own merits, preferably, within 10 days from today.

Writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
