CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANOJ KUMAR OHRIO R R26.09.2024
1. By way of present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 299/2023 registered under Sections 420/468/471/448/380/384/506/120B of IPC at P.S. Ambedkar Nagar, Delhi on the ground that the petitioners have arrived at an amicable settlement with the complainant/respondent no. 2 namely Vikas Chaudhary.
2. The petition is opposed by learned APP for the State by contending that though the FIR was registered on the complaint of Vikas Chaudhary, statements of various other persons including Jasmin Masih, Vinod Kumar, Vijender and Chetan Goyal have also been recorded, who have complained of being similarly cheated. Their statements under Section 161 Cr.P.C. are on record and have been filed alongwith the chargesheet.
3. Since there is no settlement with the other victims, no grounds are made out for quashing of the FIR. The petition is dismissed alongwith the pending application.
