3.This is petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 seekingquashing of the FIR No. 528/2018, registered at PS Hari Nagar, underSections 498A/406/34 of IPC and proceedings emanating from it. Thechargesheet has been filed under Sections 377/354/406/498A/34 of IPC.

4.The parties have arrived at settlement dated 04.05.2024, wherein thepetitioner has undertaken to pay sum of Rs. 14 lakhs to the respondent No.2. sum of Rs. 10 lakhs has already been paid and the balance sum of Rs. 4lakhs is being paid today vide DD No. 020177 dated 18.10.2024 drawn onHDFC Bank.

5.The petitioner is present in Court and has been identified by Mr.Jaideep Singh, learned counsel. The respondent No. 2 is also present inCourt and has been identified by Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh, learned counseland SI Mukesh Yadav, PS Hari Nagar.

6.The parties have already been divorced by decree of mutual consent.7.There is no child born out of the wedlock.7.There is no child born out of the wedlock.

8.Since the parties have arrived at settlement and no disputes arepending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account ofcompromise would bring peace and would secure ends of justice. The Courtdoes not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to beprosecuted any further. 10.The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
