1.The present petition has been filed seeking following relief:

“A. Issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ,order, or direction directing the Respondent No. 5 toforthwith remove the debit freeze issued by Respondent No.1videAcknowledgmentNo.21605240024911onthePetitioner's Bank Account No. 259873172551 maintainedwith Respondent No. 5; and

B. Issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ,order, or direction directing the Respondent No. 5 toforthwith remove the debit freeze issued by Respondent No.3 vide Acknowledgment No. 22909230055881 on the on thePetitioner's Bank Account No. 259873172551 maintainedwith Respondent No. 5; and

C. Issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ,order, or direction directing the Respondent No. 5 toforthwith remove the debit freeze issued by Respondent No.4 vide Acknowledgment No. 32705240027354/2024 on thePetitioner's Bank Account No. 259873172551 maintainedwith Respondent No. 5; and”

2.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits thatthe petitioner is maintaining bank account no. 259873172551 withrespondent no.5/IndusInd Bank Limited.

3.He submits that the account of the petitioner was debit freezed by therespondent no.5 on the basis of instructions received from the respondentno.1 (State of Karnataka) and respondent no.3 (State of Tamil Nadu).

4.Mr. Ashish Mahajan, the Senior Vice President of the respondentno.5/IndusInd Bank Limited is present in Court. He submits that the twodisputed transactions are – (i) for an amount of Rs.29,433/- in respect ofwhich instructions were received from the State of Karnataka, and (ii) for asum of Rs. 10,000/- for which instructions were received from the State ofTamil Nadu.

5.He submits that the respondent no.5/Induslnd Bank has no objectionto defreeze the account if the lien is marked on the account of the petitionerto the extent of the aforesaid amounts.

6.In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and the

respondent no. 5/IndusInd Bank Limited is directed to defreeze the accountof the petitioner marking lien to the extent of Rs.29,433/- and Rs.10,000/-, inrespect of which instructions have been received by the respondentno.5/Bank from the State of Karnataka and State of Tamil Nadu,respectively.

7.With the aforesaid directions,the petition alongwith pendingapplication stands disposed of.
