1.The present petition has been filed with prayer to include the name of the petitioner in the Voter List of Delhi, as she has already made an application through Online Mode, on 11[th] January, 2025.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is resident of H. No. 18, Third Floor, Gali no. 13-14, Omvihar, Phase-III, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi-110059.
3.Despite being resident, as aforesaid, the name of the petitioner has not been added in the Voter List, on account of which, the petitioner was unable to cast her vote in the Delhi Assembly Election, 2025, that concluded recently.
4.Learned counsel puts in appearance on behalf of respondent no. 2 and
submits that respondent no. 2 has been wrongly impleaded as Election Commission of India. She submits that the correct entity, would be the Office of Chief Electoral Officer, Government of NCT of Delhi, at Old St. Stephen's College Building, Lothiyan Marg, Old Delhi, Delhi-110006.
5.She further submits that the name of the petitioner has been added in the Electoral Roll and the Electoral Roll of the area in question, has already been updated accordingly.
6.Considering the aforesaid submission made by learned counsel appearing for the Office of Chief Electoral Officer, it is apparent that the relief, as claimed in the present writ petition, stands satisfied.
7.Accordingly, the present writ petition, along with pending applications, is disposed of as satisfied.
