1.The Petitioner is serving life sentence in relation to his conviction inFIR No. 484/2003 under Section 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860,registered at P.S. Adarsh Nagar. Through the instant petition, under Article226 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 528 of the BharatiyaNagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023[1](earlier Section 482 of the Code ofCriminal Procedure, 1973[2]), the Petitioner seeks extension of parole for aperiod of ten days to arrange for funds for an operation which his wife has toundergo.

2.In this regard, it is noted that on an earlier occasion, the Petitioner hadmade similar request for grant of parole in W.P.(CRL) 793/2025 on thesame ground that his wife has to undergo urgent surgery and he needs to

arrange for appropriate funds for the same. This earlier request of thePetitioner was allowed by this Court vide order dated 10[th]March, 2025 inW.P.(CRL) 793/2025, for period of ten days, in order to enable thePetitioner to attend to the urgent medical needs of his wife.

3.However, through the instant petition, the Petitioner contends that thesurgery could not be performed and as per the medical record annexed withthe instant petition, the surgery is now likely to be performed on 24[th]March,2025. In such circumstances, the Petitioner now seeks extension of parolegranted to him vide order dated 10[th]March, 2025 in W.P.(CRL) 793/2025.

4.Counsel for Petitioner, on instructions, gives an undertaking that nofurther extension shall be sought by the Petitioner on the abovementionedground.

5.Considering the aforenoted circumstances, the parole granted to thePetitioner vide order dated 10[th]March, 2025 in W.P.(CRL) 793/2025, isextended till 30[th]March, 2025, on the same terms and conditions asmentioned in the said order.

6.It is made clear that no further extension of parole shall be granted tothe Petitioner on the grounds of his wife’s surgery.

7.With the above directions, the present petition is disposed of, alongwith pending application.

8.Copy of the order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent, fornecessary information and compliance.
