3. The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner- Guljar under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking release of one iPhone 15 Pro Max (256 GB) of the Petitioner, seized by the Customs Department vide Detention Receipt dated 22nd August 2024.

4. Considering that the only detained product in this case is an iPhone 15 Pro Max and no show cause notice has been issued by the Customs Department till date, despite the expiry of the six months time period prescribed under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962, it is directed that the same shall be released unconditionally as one phone would in fact constitute `personal effect’.

5. No warehousing charges shall also be liable to be paid by the Petitioner in this case.

6. The Petitioner shall appear before the Customs Authority for release of

the iPhone 15 Pro Max on 22[nd] September, 2025.

7. The Nodal Officer mentioned below shall facilitate the Petitioner’s appearance before the competent authority for compliance with the present order:
