Mr. Pradeep Chamyal, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. Anil Kumar Joshi, Addl. Chief Standing Counsel for State of Uttarakhand/ respondent.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has moved application seeking Arms license before the District Magistrate on 01.10.2014; till date, no decision has been taken thereon, for the reasons best known to the District Magistrate.

Mr. A.K. Joshi, Addl. Chief Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand / respondent submits that District Magistrate shall take appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner preferably within 30 days from today and decision, so taken, shall be communicated to the petitioner.

Without expressing any opinion on the entitlement of the petitioner, present petition, thus, stands disposed of in the light of statement made by Mr. A.K. Joshi, Addl. Chief Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand/ respondent.
