JUDGMENT
1. Petitioner has applied for electricity connection in the month of February, 2021 to the Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division, Haldwani, District Nainital.
2. Since no decision has been taken on her application, therefore, she has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

3. Mr. N.S. Pundir, learned counsel for the respondent/Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd. submits that as per his instructions, there are some outstanding dues of petitioner’s father to whom electricity connection was earlier granted in the premises in question. However, he assures the Court that if petitioner’s application is pending, then decision shall be taken thereupon as early as possible, but not later than three weeks.
4. On the other hand, Mr. Vikas Kumar Guglani, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that petitioner is ready and willing to clear all outstanding electricity dues in respect of the connection issued to the father of the petitioner.
5. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed with direction to the Competent Authority to take decision on petitioner’s application, as early as possible, but not later than three weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
