Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the prosecution,

petitioner was riding motorcycle on which co-accused was sitting. Policeofficials gave signal to motorcyclist to stop. The pillion rider fell down andpetitioner fled away from the spot. Pillion rider was chased and he fired atthe police party but was finally apprehended. Petitioner was arrested on 24[th]August, 2016, that is, after about two months of the incident. Petitioner is incustody for more than one year three months.

Learned APP has vehemently opposed the grant of bail to petitioner.

It is contended that petitioner had sped away from the spot.He wasapprehended after about two months.He refused to participate in TIP.

Witnesses have yet to be examined. Petitioner is involved in as many as 84cases.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner has beenfalsely implicated in 76 cases after his arrest, wherein he has already beendischarged. All the witnesses are police officials and they cannot beinfluenced by the petitioner.

Keeping in mind the totality of the facts and circumstances of thecase, it is ordered that petitioner be released on bail subject to his furnishing

personal bond in the sum of `25,000/- with one surety in the like amountto the satisfaction of the trial court.

Bail application is disposed of in the above terms.
