After some arguments learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petition, however prays that the trial be expedited.

The petitioner has been in custody since 17[th] June, 2013 and prosecution has examined only 16 witnesses out of 55 witnesses cited. Having heard learned counsel for the parties this Court is of the considered opinion that directions to expedite the trial are required to be passed.

Learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within one year from the next date of hearing before it.

Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file fresh one in case the trial is not expedited.
