2.This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal

Procedure, 1973, praying for the following relief:

“Pass writ/order/direction in the nature of mandamus in favour of the petitioner and against the respondents No.1 to 4 thereby directing the respondents No.1 to 4 to grant the protection, safety and security to the precious life of the petitioner.”

3.Without entering into the authenticity of the allegations made in

the petition, and in no manner expressing any opinion thereon, it is directed that the respondent nos.1 to 4 shall share the mobile number of the Station House Officer (SHO) concerned, and of the Beat Constable of the area, with the petitioner. In case there is any threat perceived, the petitioner may contact either of them, and in case the petitioner has any genuine apprehension, the SHO/Beat Constable shall look into the same and take necessary action on the same. 4.The petition is disposed of with the above direction.
